Poison Centre Notifications
According to Article 45 of the CLP Regulation, companies placing hazardous mixtures on the market are obliged to provide information about hazardous mixtures to relevant national bodies. For this regulation, physical hazards and human health hazards are considered; there is no need to notify products on the basis of environmental hazards.
The national bodies make this information available to poison centres so that they can give advice to the citizens or medical personnel in the event of an emergency.
Product packaging must exhibit a UFI (Unique formulation identification) which must be used to notify each unique mixture.
Provisions have been made to allow confidential compositions to be notified without disclosure to downstream users. You'll take a slightly different route to notification depending on where your legal entity is and what position in the supply chain you have.
