Lord, what a debacle

Despite the request for a short extension to the invocation of Article 50, time is still short on the issue of how Chemical Regulation will be considered in the UK post-Brexit. Responses to the questions from the House of Lords do not appear to have satisfied the need for clarification and it appears that the House of Lords are still not satisfied on a number of issues regarding "UK-REACH". The House of Lords question the ability of the HSE to resource the processing of data, require assurances on the readiness of the UK database, need further information as the why the UK cannot emulate a version of the standing committee of experts and finally expresses concern about potential repeat animal testing. So the question of what UK-REACH will look like post-Brexit is still just that, a question yet to be answered...
